		<abstract>The Aratanha saw in the State of Ceará, even though in almost its entirety within an area of Environmental Protection, has been suffering various anthropogenic interventions. As a way of warning about the problems that occurred on site, this research aims to carry out an analysis of urbanization in the surroundings in the environmental protection area of the Sierra de Aratanha, with the support of satellite imagery assessment OLI/Landsat-8 and SRTM Radar, with a resolution of 30 meters. Applied their images the Normalized Difference vegetation index (NDVI) and the elevation Model TIN (network of Irregular Triangles), that allowed the urbanization converges toward the EPA suppressing vegetation cover, especially in the East-West axis and South-North, favored by smoother gradient process in these parts. Associated interventions were checked several impacts in the area such as degradation of water resources, deforestation, fires, intensification of erosion processes and mass movements, disposal, among others. Considering the problems generated from the fact, the NDVI and TIN, obtained from Landsat-8/OLI Images and SRTM, proved to be excellent tools in the monitoring process of the Massif.</abstract>
